BAHAU, SEREMBAN: A local hawker who sells frog noodles has chanced upon a very unique way to advertise the quality of his frogs.

He lets them smoke cigarettes in front of the customers.

As the frog gulps down the cigarette smoke its' throat bobs continuously. The hawker (named Lai) points this out to his customers, saying that it means his frogs are fresh and lively.

Lai's "ginger and onion frog noodles" is a very popular dish here. The frogs he uses in his cooking are all bought from the aboriginals and are extremely lively and spirited.

The unique promotional method has been a big hit. Some customers have even asked Lai to slaughter the cigarette-smoking frog and turn it into a meal of frog noodles for them to enjoy.
