BAHAU, SEREMBAN: A durian that had a baby durian growing inside it turned up at durian stall in Bahau. The stall owner displayed it in front of his stall from 11am to 10 pm, drawing over a hundred curious visitors. The odd durian became an overnight celebrity.

The stall owner, Ahmad, told Guang Ming Dailythat the "pregnant" durian had come from an old tree. He had bought it from Bukit Kanpung along with other durians.

He said that although he had been selling durians for 20 years, this is the first time that he has seen such a durian.

The stall owner had opened up the durian to reveal a small durian inside it, yellow in colour and covered all over with thorns.

Ahmad said he did not intend to sell the durian, and that he would display it in his home as a memento.
