WARSAW: It's considered uncivilized to throw things out of your window, more so when the object in question is a dog!
A man was walking along the street in Sosnowiec, southern Poland, on Monday (24th of July) when he was struck by a falling St. Bernard that weighed 50kg (about 110 pounds). Though startled out of his wits, the man (and the dog) was not seriously injured.
Dog Had Several Scrapes, Bruises
Police officer Grzegorz Wierzbicki said that: "The dog landed safely, with only a few scrapes and bruises – because it fell on that unlucky fellow!"
The dog's name is Oscar. Although it weighs about the same as an average woman, it is only a year old.
Oscar, who isn't especially inclined towards flying, is believed to have been tossed out of the second-floor window of his master's house by his master during a drunken rage.
As for the unlucky pedestrian, he wasn't seriously hurt physically, though his nerves might have been.
Oscar has been temporarily been placed in the care of a veterinarian, and the police are investigating his owner.
