SINGAPORE: A 180cm tall male crossdresser with a penchant for miniskirts and bras has been spotted in the Lion City. Even more surprisingly, he is a frequent customer of Geylang's prostitutes.

News of the man's odd habit spread quickly, and on the 8th of July this month an eyewitness took the crossdresser's picture with a camera phone when he turned up at Geylang around half-past midnight.

The crossdresser was in his 30s. At first glance he seemed to be a very large woman, however the eyewitness said that on closer inspection it was obvious that the 1.8meter tall "lady" with the muscular build and the neatly combed hair was actually a man.

The crossdresser was wearing lipstick; and had on a dark green shirt and a denim miniskirt with a bag slung over one shoulder. His attire was extremely feminine, and the eyewitness said that when the crossdresser passed by the swell of a C-Cup bra could be seen beneath the shirt.

"If I had just passed him by, I would have thought he was a neuter or a transgender, but he had this hot girl with him, so I think he just has some kind of odd fetish."

It is said that the crossdresser isn't just a professional, but is also married and with children.

The man has already been to Geylang two or three times, and had revealed to one of his female companions there that he already had a wife and children, and that he was a Chinese foreigner in Singapore for business purposes.

According to his companion, the crossdresser behaved no differently from any other man once in bed.

Senior counsellor Li Bingxin said during an interview that the crossdressing habit could be a result of upbringing or biology.

An overabundance of female hormones could have resulted in a man with feminine behaviour and dress sense.

Upbringing could also be a factor. If a boy were brought up in a very feminine environment, he might grow up wanting to emulate the femine behaviour he observed during his formative years.

Li Bingxin said: "However, from the fact that he goes out looking for prostitutes, he is probably a normal man who is trying to increase his sexual enjoyment by dressing as a woman."
