Marriage In the Air

  • Seven couples took part in the "Weddings in the Sky Hong Kong 2006" event.

SELANGOR: Seven couples had their marriages registered and photographed while on a plane to Hong Kong. The "Weddings in the Sky 2006" event was jointly organised by Cathay Pacific airlines and a local wedding gallery.

Yao Weilun, marketing manager for the wedding gallery, said that the 7 couples, who had departed on their mid-air marriage ceremonies on the June 24th this year, would be returning to Malaysia on June 28th.

He said that this was the second time they have held such an event. Last year, they had organised a trip to Bangkok. At the time, they only arranged for the wedding ceremony to be performed, and not the registration.

He said that this time, all 7 of the participating couples were Chinese.
