Sa Xidan (name transliterated) displays the oddly shaped white-turnip.
SEBERANG PERAI: An oddly shaped white turnip has been found. It resembles the lower half of a man's body.
58-year-old Sa Xidan (name transliterated), a Malay who lives in a small village at the edge of Penang, discovered this oddly shaped 11-inch long and 3-inch wide specimen while he was buying white turnips at a vegetable wholesaler in Jawi. He immediately bought it and brought it back home to show his neighbours and family.
During the interview, he said that he and his family loved to eat white turnips, and he often bought lots of them to be fried, used in soups and squeezed for their juice. This is the first time that he has ever seen such a strangely shaped white turnip.
