LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: British photographer Alison Jackson, famed for her portraits of celebrity lookalikes in compromising positions, launched an appeal for would-be Gordon Brown impersonators on Monday, after six fruitless years of searching for a stand-in.
Jackson said she had "never had such difficulty finding a lookalike before" and attributed the struggle to the prime minister's "huge bovine features".
An advertisement on her website (www.alisonjackson.com) declares she is "desperately seeking Gordon Brown lookalikes for a documentary project" and Jackson is set to advertise in major British dailies next week.
The artist is best known for her photographs depicting celebrity lookalikes in compromising or humourous positions - one photo shows Queen Elizabeth II reading while sitting on a toilet, while another shows US President George W. Bush visibly struggling with a rubik's cube.
Casting sessions for Gordon Brown lookalikes have been scheduled in both London and Glasgow, Scotland, between January 18 and 21.
The successful candidate will be appear in men's magazine Esquire and in Jackson's subsequent photoshoots.
