NEW YORK, UNITED STATES: A New York comedian afraid of flying left Monday (June 1st) on a journey that will make him a frequent - almost permanent - flier.
Mark Malkoff took off from New York's La Guardia for Atlanta, from where he will continue to San Francisco, then back to Atlanta. And that's just on Monday.
"A lot of people have a fear of flying, including myself. I have been trying to get over my fear for a long time. So what I am going to do is stay on a commercial airplane for an entire month," Malkoff says in a video on his website.
Malkoff, whose previous stunts include living in an Ikea store for a week last year, will be traveling on budget carrier Airtran, which is allowing him to live aboard planes and travel almost non-stop.
"There are issues like where am I going to sleep. How am I going to clean myself without showering?" Malkoff says in a video posting.
He intends to blog and video himself throughout the marathon, according to the website www.markonairtran.com. (AFP)
