KLANG, SELANGOR: A fading asplenium antiquum that suddenly flourished in four days attracted the attention of its owner and a rat corpse was later found half-rotted in the plant.
Sin Chew Daily reader Chen Xiuhua, 40, said that she planted the asplenium antiquum about three months ago and it started to fade recently. As she was too busy with work, she had no time to take care of it.
“About three or four days ago, I suddenly noticed that the leaves were so lush and beautiful. Out of curiosity, I went forward to take a look and found a rat corpse half-rotted in the plant!”
She described that the body of the rat has rotten in the plant with its tail upward. She could not understand why a rat would try to bore into the plant?
Chen said that she was uneasy about it but since the body of the rat has already rotten in the plant, she had no choice but to leave it there. (Sin Chew Daily)
