BAHAU, NEGERI SEMBILAN: A girl had never touched a motorcycle before until Saturday (16 Jan) when she climbed onto the back seat of her “bridal motorcycle”.

The groom, Huang Jinyong, 30, took his bride Xu Xiaoling, 28, for a ride on a 33-year-old motorcycle on their wedding day.

Huang said that his wife had never touched a motorcycle before and she had always wanted to go for a ride. When they were preparing for their wedding, his wife came out with the idea of having a “bridal motorcycle” instead of a “bridal car”.

The 33-year-old motorcycle valued at RM4000 was borrowed from a friend of the couple. It was decorated with beautiful ribbons while tin cans were tied to the back of it.

Huang met Xu when he was working for an advertising agency as a designer. They had dated for seven years before getting married.

He believed that the old motorcycle symbolized a happy life to a rip old age. More importantly, his wife was so happy as it was a dream came true for her. (Translated by SOONG PHUI JEE/ Sin Chew Daily)
