BAHAU, NEGERI SEMBILAN: A sow was recently found breast-feeding a tiger cub!

The rare scene was seen in the Bangkok Zoo in Thailand. A Malaysian couple from Negeri Sembilan immediately captured the scene when they saw it during a visit there.

Huang Jinlian, 49, who captured the pictures said that she went to visit the Bangkok Zoo with her husband during the recent Chinese New Year. They saw a large sow sleeping in the pigsty and a tiger cub staggered towards the sow after a short while. It then started to suck milk from the sow.

She said that the sow was quietly lying there when the tiger cub was sucking its milk. It reflected the great unselfish motherly love. The tiger cub contentedly left after sucking for about 5 minutes.

She said that pigs and tigers are living in two different worlds and pigs are even included in the food chain of tiger. The sow that breast-fed the tiger cub seemed to have been "returning good for evil". She wondered, however, whether the cub would remember the grace and be nice to the sow when it grows up?
