To him, vases are not only vessels to hold flowers, but as well home decorations and beloved collectables.

Yang is a flower fanatic. He likes growing, enjoying and arranging flowers. That also makes him like vases very much. He has collected over 100 of vases by now.

His collectables are various in sizes, shapes and designs. Like art pieces, even empty vases are used to decorate his house.

Because of his interest in vases, no matter where he goes, he always brings home vases, although vases are inconvenient to carry.

In just a few years time, his house is now full of vases. His family started to "warn" him to stop buying vases, or he would have to clean them himself.

The vases are usually empty. However, Yang will bring them for flower arranging competitions held in shopping malls during Chinese New Year. He has been a continuous champion for three years. (Translated by SOONG PHUI JEE/ Sin Chew Daily)
